With our last day of work now finished, tomorrow we leave for a 10-day Christmas vacation in Germany and Austria! We will be stopping in Munich, Germany to catch the last two days of their famous Christmas market, spending three nights in Kitzbuhel, Austria to ski the Austrian Alps on Christmas day, and finally ending our holidays in Vienna and Salzburg, visiting with extended family and friends on the Walko side. It's bound to be a memorable first Christmas together...if we get out of Amsterdam tomorrow! With Holland experiencing what the Dutch consider a snow dump over the last few days, many flights out of Schiphol have been delayed and/or canceled. We're hoping for the best!
Upon our return, we will be sure to share photos and our impressions of Christmas in The Netherlands and the various places we visit on our trip.
With that, we wish all of our family and friends around the world a very Merry Christmas! Even though we won't be with you this year, we are wishing you a wonderful holiday season and the very best for the New Year. We look forward to sharing more of our "Dutch Way of Life" with you in 2010!
