Today, my wonderful husband celebrates another birthday. We have made it a tradition to go away somewhere around Chris' special day, so this weekend we're off to Prague for a four-night visit and to watch the Boston Bruins play the Pheonix Coyotes in our 2nd annual NHL Premiere Game.
Tradition in the Netherlands includes stringing small flags around the house to recognize someone's birthday and taking a cake or other baked goods to the office/school to share with co-workers and friends. Yes, the expectation is that you feed everyone else on your birthday! Shouldn't it be the other way around?!?!?
